My first eBook! Wildlife Photography along the Icefields Parkway
I’m very pleased to announce the launch of my first ever eBook, How to the Photograph the Canadian Rockies: The Icefields Parkway – Wildlife Edition for Banff and Jasper National Parks. The eBook is available on its own or as part of a series on Darwin Wiggett’s How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies website.
How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies: The Icefields Parkway Wildlife Edition |
This eBook is 159 pages of in-depth information on when and where to find wildlife along the Icefields Parkway, covering the entire 230 kilometers of this magnificent stretch of road unlike anything you’ve ever seen offered before for wildlife photographers. The best part? It’s only $10!

The eBook is laid out slightly differently than Darwin’s other eBooks in the series, for those of you that already have the landscape photography oriented How to Photograph Banff National Park, How to Photograph Jasper, and How to Photograph the Icefields Parkway eBooks, in that it describes kilometer ranges rather than specific locations. That’s of course because wildlife rarely sits in one spot (today that grizzly bear could be at Herbert Lake, tomorrow it could be all the way up at Saskatchewan Crossing).
How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies: The Icefields Parkway Wildlife Edition |
You’ll find a mixture of great wildlife photography tips on equipment, protocol, ethics, and technique interspersed with a heap of quality information on where to find everything from grizzly bears to ground squirrels along the Icefields Parkway.
You can download How to the Photograph the Canadian Rockies: The Icefields Parkway – Wildlife Edition directly from the How to Photograph the Canadian Rockies website on its own for $10, or purchase the full set of all five eBooks for a 10% discount (details on the website).
For those of you that may be traveling to this area this summer or in the future, purchasing the entire set will cost you the same as 2 hours of sleep (one-quarter of one night) in a hotel for your stay in Banff or Jasper. And trust me, this $45 will be far better value for the money!!
I’m thrilled that Darwin asked me to write this wildlife photography edition to complement his incredibly popular and informative series of eBooks. And I’d also like to thank Stephen Desroches for his beautiful work designing the eBook and making it as attractive as it is.
I’d love to hear your feedback on the eBook when you have a chance. And I’ll look forward to seeing many of you out and about on the parkway this summer photographing wildlife!
Happy shooting!

June 17, 2011 at 10:12 pmJohn, just started reading the eBook and love the high quality of images. The text is easy to follow with great suggestions. This is my first eBook purchase so was not sure how it would look on my Mac but everything is crystal clear.
The cost of the eBook is so cheap for the value that I will be adding more to my collection. I will be on this route at the end of June so I look forward to seeing what I can see through my lens.
